Summer Vacation - Part IV

At a movie night the girls took turns petting Romeo, the pet hamster from one of the two kindergarten classes, before they attended to their agenda for the evening.
Cups watered Marji's garden while Marji was away on vacation. When I told her that she'd be paid, she said, "She doesn't need to pay me." She was very excited about the prospect of being paid and added, "She can pay me half." Marji paid her handsomely and even gave her a bag of chocolates - what a bonus! We were just happy to be of help, considering that Cups had spent four years of her life there. :)
We bumped into Auntie Rira at the Food Truck Rodeo on Capitol Hill - so good to see her in person. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere, which had a feel of the Taiwanese night markets.
We celebrated Uncle Eric's birthday. It's always good to spend time with family!
Cups had a study buddy for a bit of the summer. We really enjoyed having Daniel over. The three of them played really well together.
Auntie Jennifer, Eva and Dean invited us to the Pacific Science Center. We had a great time. Thank you for a wonderful treat!!
Thank you, Uncle Wing and Auntie Michelle, for a grand dinner! Averie is their sweetheart, and pink rocks!
We toured the Alki Point Lighthouse.
Agong and Ama checked out the beautiful scenery at Daniel's beach house. Thank you for the super fresh and yummy crabs, Alma and Cip!
We hosted a movie night, and the girls were just ecstatic to get together.
We took Agong and Ama to Bainbridge Island. Thank you so much for my new S5, Mom and Dad!! I love you! haha (Can you see a difference starting with the picture taken with Averie?!)
Cups and a mossy frog. As long as she gets shoelace licorice from the specialty candy shop and pictures taken with frogs, Cups considers her trip to Bainbridge Island complete.
Cups and Daniel read for their pancake breakfast. All kids that read at least 15 minutes a day throughout the summer get to attend the pancake breakfast when school starts. Each kid gets a goodie bag, a new book and a poster - all prizes the librarian earns by running book fairs.
We stopped by the Pike Place Market to play and pick up some flowers for Auntie Evelyne before taking her out for lunch to celebrate her birthday.
We had a great visit with Auntie Evelyne.
Cups tied up bags of bulk food donated by PCC at the Greenwood food bank.
The kids were thorough and helped with clean up.

Summer Vacation - Part III

Thanks Grandma for a wonderful time on the Oregon Coast! I personally came back to the city feeling the effect of a much needed reset.
 Cups so loves the water.
During a negative tide Cups collected sand dollars. A friendly person showed her how to distinguish alive ones.
Grandma's children and grandchildren celebrated her 70th birthday early at her new beach house.
The following weekend we attended the baptism for our beautiful cousin Maija. Congratulations, Uncle Scott and Auntie Brooke!
The two of them have played so well over the summer that Gofres has a hard time going to daycare.
Cups accompanies me on lunch dates. We had a great time visiting with Auntie Vera and William!!
Cups picked plums at Agong and Ama's house.
The weather has been great for going to the beach in the evenings.
Cups had lunch with Uncle Brad, and he had his picture taken with his own pizza.
The kids played on the adults' play date.
We checked out the Torchlight Parade for the first time. Cups took really good care of Gofres without being asked, and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
Pool time!!
Cups stayed by Gofres' side during his first dental cleaning.
With clean teeth we stopped by Mercer Slough for some blueberries on the way home.
We got to the Magnolia Summerfest too late, but the kids seemed to have enjoyed the donkeys.
We loved the visit from Auntie Carrie (and Auntie Hopie) and had fun hanging out in Fremont! Please come back soon!!!
We visited Uncle Kevin and Auntie Stephanie's new BBQ business at the Fife Farmers' Market. Please visit their booth when you have a chance.  They serve super yummy food!
We are very blessed to be by such beautiful scenery on Alki.
We look forward to the yearly neighborhood party.
The kids had a great time at the Meadow Crest Playground in Renton.

Summer Vacation - Part II

I did not see the humor when I was there for their combined annual physical exam. Now looking at the picture. . .
Cups' first summer movie with Louisa. . .
Cups has enjoyed biking in the neighborhood.
We have visited quite a few new parks this summer. This nice park was at the Rainier Beach Community Center. Cups, Natalie and Gofres checked out the renovated pool, too.
We have not been to the Redmond Town Center in a while. Agong and Ama took us there for lunch, and the kids enjoyed playing with the new attraction.
Thank you for the yummy marshmallows, Auntie Christine! I love taking pictures of the kids in the car because I never know what to expect when I turn around. Cups showcased the loom jewelry that she made: a bow on the bracelet and a snow cone pendant.
They play anywhere and everywhere - in a car cart at Safeway.
Uncle Paul, Auntie Thao and Matt invited us to pick blueberries at their house. Their impeccable garden never seizes to amaze me.
Our hike got rained out, so Cups played board games with Matt and Auntie Thao. We got to see another side of them that we did not know about, haha.
The Seattle Public Library joined forces with the Pacific Science Center to offer different activities throughout the summer. Cups participated in the Egg Drop; the kids made contraptions to prevent eggs from cracking when dropped.
