Taking you with us through Cups' August

Cups and Mama made mojito cupcakes with lime juice in the cake and lime zest + mint in the frosting.  They turned out well!
Cups went to work with Daddy some days this summer.  We had lunch with Auntie Chris.
Cups got smelt ready for frying. She helped in the kitchen whenever there was a special project all summer.
Matt and Cups could have played at the beach all day. (They played all afternoon.)
Cups had fun meeting the Troll.

We stopped by the Fremont library after strolling through the farmers' market and very yummy gelato at  Sirena.
We took walks with Auntie Vera, and Cups really enjoyed walking Harper.

Agong and Ama played cards with Cups for the first time. Mama smiled, remembering how Ama played cards with her and Uncle Michael especially on planes and at hotels on trips.

Cups helped with setup for the block party. We look forward to this event every year. Cups played with Olympia (next to her in this picture) all evening, and they have become good friends since.  :)

We took trips downtown for lunch dates.

This is an ad for Young Flowers downtown. The beautiful ladies at the store have given Cups flowers whenever we've stopped by to visit.
We had dinner with Auntie Boo one more time before she moves to Yuba City.  We will definitely miss you A LOT, Auntie Boo.

We had a great time at Pecado Bueno for a school dinner fundraiser.

Cups' smile in this picture could not have been bigger. Cups had a GREAT time camping at Manzanita, OR this past weekend.  Thank you very much for another super memorable camping trip, Uncle Eric, Uncle Chris and Auntie Aly.
We stopped by Tillamook on the way home - very fun and yummy.

During low tide this Monday Cups got to touch starfish and sea anemone and see crabs, hermit crabs and other creatures turning rocks.
On the way to Bainbridge Island (as a celebration for the new school year about to begin), we enjoyed riding the water taxi with Daddy on his way to work.

Princess posed with frogs all around town. The shoelace licorice made Cups' day. We also tried yummy Mora ice cream that the magazines have been introducing. Cups and Gofres enjoyed playing in the park as well.  They had a great trip.
Cups made chocolate truffles. Being six, she stays until we are done with the entire process before she leaves the kitchen.
Cups has really enjoyed packing bulk food donated by PCC to the food banks. We were at the Green Lake Food Bank last night and packed oats, pinto beans, red lentils, brown sugar and raisins.  Last month we volunteered in the U District.  We like this activity because they encourage small kids to participate.

An update on John: John's body is starting to make its own red blood cells so well that instead of weekly appointments (with liquid iron infusions), his next appointment will be a month out.  We are very excited about this great news!
